Brown County Child Dies From Stabbing With Multi-Tool

By KSFY Staff

A Brown County child died at home this afternoon as the result of an accident involving a multitool.

Law enforcement was called to a home between Aberdeen and Groton about noon today because the instrument's knife blade was stuck in the boy's chest.

The boy, which is believed to be three or four years old, died two hours later at Avera St. Luke's Hospital in Aberdeen.

We have a crew working this story and will bring you more information tonight on Action News Live at 10:00.

Our thoughts and prayers are extended to the family! WE need to support the family and allow them to grieve! Having experienced the tragedy of losing a young child in an accident myself I speak from experience when I say that family will carry enough guilt and regret on their own! Allow them to grieve in peace! Do not film their home, property or friends please let them grieve!

This is an awful tragedy. At a time like this the community needs to pull together and pray for this family. No one wanted this to happen, so please do not point fingers or jump to conclusions. Keep the family in your thoughts and prayers
