Students had the opportunity to receive the H1N1 vaccine Monday at Terry Redlin Elementary in Sioux Falls.

The shots were available to those in the first tier, which are kids four to eighteen-years old with high-risk conditions, as well as kids six months to four-years old.

As soon as more shots are available, Falls Community Health says they will be ready.

"As soon as CDC opens up to that next tier we will be able to vaccinate more people that fall into that tier as well so as long there's vaccine we'll keep vaccinating," said Judy Kendell of Falls Community Health.

We also just learned there will be another public vaccination event for those in the first tier group this Thursday night in Sioux Falls.

More than three thousand doses will be available.

It will be at the W.H. Lyon Fairgrounds from 3 to 7 p.m.
