Sioux Falls Dentist Gives Kids $1 A Pound For Halloween Candy

Dr. Robert Reitz says he's using money to prevent kids from eating sugar and ruining their teeth.

Those of you with extra Halloween candy, listen up! Local dentist Robert Reitz is collecting kids' leftovers, and in return - he's paying a buck a pound. There are also prizes for those who bring the most candy to Dr. Reitz's office.

Reitz says it's a great way to teach kids about dental hygiene, sharing and the concept of reward. "The monetary return and probably some satisfaction too, in knowing that they're helping out other people."

Dr. Reitz's office is located at 3508 South Minnesota Avenue.
