Residents Sandbag And Roads Are Closed Around Claremont, SD

By KSFY Staff

The city of Claremont, SD is having some trouble with washed out roads.

Claremont is located 37 miles northeast of Aberdeen.

Several county roads have now been closed because of water damage.

People in Claremont have had to start sandbagging around their homes because the water levels are so high.

Area farmers are also having trouble getting to their crops because of the road closures.

On Wednesday, residents talked to the Brown County Commissioners about the road closures.

Officals say they'll try to get the roads re-opened as soon as they are safe.
