Group To Review Court TranslatorsA committee has been appointed by the South Dakota Supreme Court to study the use of interpreters and translators in the state's courts. The committee will examine how they are appointed and regulated, and the qualifications, training and ethical standards for court interpretation and translation. Circuit Judge Bradley Zell of Sioux Falls will chair the committee, which include judges, prosecutors, defense attorneys, court officials, interpreters, and a representative for county commissions.
