Woman Convicted Of Aggravated Assault Escapes From Courtroom

A brazen escape from the Brule County courthouse in Chamberlain Tuesday afternoon. A manhunt is underway to find her and her suspected accomplice.

The escapee is Angelina Walters. On Tuesday, after being sentenced to 15 years in prison for aggravated assault, Walters somehow managed to escape the courtroom and get outside to a waiting car.

Brule County authorities say the car she got into was a 2000 black 4 door chevy impala with South Dakota plates 38-G 2-1-1.

Authorities believe she is with a man named Tyler Nazer. If you know where these two are, Brule County authorities want you to call 9-1-1.

I know Angelina and she is generally a nice person. I feel bad for her poor little kids. Yes she may have done some bad stuff but I think 15 years is alittle harsh. She probably just got scared. Who the hell wants to sit in prison for the next 15 years. Maybe she needs help rather than punishment. I just can't imagine my child growing up without a mother. People kill and get less time.
