Witness Says Body Found in Burned Car

By Tim Stanek

The Hanson County Sheriff's Office says a fire that burned up a car last night is suspicious.

Firefighters were called to an area on James River Road near Mitchell about 9:40 last night. We're told it was about a quarter mile south of 25652 James River Road. The person who lives at that address tells Action News they saw a body inside, but that has not been confirmed by the Hanson County Sheriff or the Attorney General's office.

Judi Bartscher from Mitchell joined us live on the phone to talk about what she saw.
