Pilot Dead In California Plane Crash

By KSFY Staff

The Pilot of a small airplane was killed when the aircraft crashed on a road in southern California. Authorities say the 1977 single-engine Beechcraft Bonanza crashed in the suburb of San Gabriel east of Los Angeles. Part of the airplane caught fire, requiring fire crews to use a white foamy material to put the fire out.

No one on the ground was hurt in the crash. The pilot has not been identified. Authorities say the airplane is registered to a man in Grants Pass, Oregon.
