Brandon fire officials say a massive garage fire at a home in Brandon monday night was in fact an accident.

They say the flames broke out around nine after a man spilled close to 20 gallons of fuel and was trying to clean it up when he unplugged a light and the gas ignited. Fire officials say when the spilled fuel ignited it also appears a gas grill propane tank exploded as well. The chief says the owner is lucky the fire wasn't worse and also warns to keep flamable chemicals away from anything that could ignite them.

WHAT kind of container did he have 20 gallon of fuel in? It sounds like he was trying to drain his gas tank. I'm sure he'll wait for a sunny day next time.
