If you're looking to jump on the healthy-eating train after an indulgent Thanksgiving Holiday, or if you're just interested in eating healthier...a local business can help you do that.

Thanks to the help of local growers.

Grains, flour, eggs, milk, produce...all organic and mostly local at The CO-OP Natural Foods store in Sioux Falls.

Not only are the food products locally grown, the store is locally owned.

CO-OP bulk buyer Travis Petersen says, "When they own stock we're able to buy local vendors and natural food suppliers in your own community."

Whether you need kosher, gluten-free, vegan...or just health-conscious diets...the store has what you need to supplement your diet organically.

"There are a lot of different diets we can cater to because we just have the basic ingredients."

Five years ago the CO-OP had around 2,000 members...since then it's grown to around 3,000.

Petersen says, "The amount of product is always growing because there's more knowledge of what people should be eating, people are more aware of their diets and things like that."

The CO-OP Natural Food Store also offers cooking classes and recipes for a lot of the organic products they carry.

They say with it being baking season a lot of their flours and grains are going fast!

This store has listened to their customers, stocking even the low sodium products that many of us are looking for. Too much sodium is gradually ruining the health of millions of Americans. Actually, most of us KNOW that, but we can't find low-sodium products in most grocery stores.
