Gas Leak Closes SDSU Buildings

Tools

By Associated Press

Three buildings on the South Dakota State University campus were closed over the noon hour Tuesday and faculty and staff evacuated when nearby construction workers severed a natural gas line.

The Student Union, the Nursing and Fine Arts Building and the Rotunda for Arts and Sciences were closed. The university did not immediately say how many faculty and staff were evacuated.

The campus is on semester break and officials say there were no
classes or student activities in the buildings at the time.
