Health Officials Say More Sick Than Numbers Show

A state health official says the number of confirmed cases of H1N1 flu in South Dakota is just the tip of the iceberg.

Lon Kightlinger says for every confirmed case there's another 10 to 20 people home with flu symptoms.

Kightlinger says the situation does not fit the definition of a health emergency.

South Dakota is one of 37 states classified as having widespread incidence of H1N1. Two deaths in the state have been attributed to H1N1.
