A Minnesota lab says it's created a new vaccine to fight H1N1, but it's not for humans...it's for hogs.

These are pictures from Newport Labratories in Worthington, MN. The company says pigs need a specific type of vaccine to fight off H1N1.

The company CEO tell us the vaccine is as much for our safety as it is for pigs. "Novel H1N1 is a human disease given to pigs and we want to vaccinate pigs to protect humans from catching it back in perhaps a worse form," says Randy Simonson.

Newport officals are waiting to meet with the USDA.

If they get the "green light", the vaccine could be ready in a matter of weeks.
