MINNEAPOLIS (AP) - Carlos Silva and Justin Morneau helped the
Minnesota Twins bounce back today.
Silva broke a four-game losing streak and Morneau homered and
drove in three runs to lead the Twins to a four-to-two victory over
the Toronto Blue Jays.
Silva allowed six hits and struck out three in seven and
one-third innings. The Twins shook off a heartbreaking
nine-to-eight loss to the Blue Jays in 13 innings last night and
took two of three in the weekend series.
Joe Nathan pitched a scoreless ninth for his 11th save in 12
attempts.
In the sixth, Morneau hit a two-run, 433-foot homer to right
field.
