USD Lady Coyotes on KSFY

KSFY is proud to bring you the USD Lady Coyotes semi-final game of the 2008 NCAA Division II Elite Eight from Kearney, NE. Tip-off for tonights game will be at 9:30. There will be a special edition of the news beginning at 9:00pm and we will air "Eli Stone" following the basketball game.

The Coyotes beat Washburn 85-to-80 in double overtime last night to
move into Today's semifinals against Delta State.

Jeana Hoffman scored 27 points. Bridget Yoerger added 19 and
Ashley Robinette had 13.

Corkey Stiger kept the Lady Blues in the game with eight
3-pointers and 31 points. Her 3-pointer tied the game 63-all and
forced the first overtime. She tied the game with 3-pointers twice
in the first extra frame, and Jessica Mainz's 3-pointer tied it
again at 73-to-73 and forced a second overtime.

Janice Bright had 16 points for Washburn.

The Lady Blues made 12 of 33 3-point attempts.

The Coyotes improved to 32-and-1.

South Dakota is leaving Division Two after this season to begin
the transition to Division One.
