(Sioux Falls) The Mr. & Ms. South Dakota Basketball banquet was held Sunday in Sioux Falls.

15 boys and girls from across the state were selected as semi-finalists, as voted on by coaches across the Mount Rushmore state.

Future Iowa State Cyclone Alexis Yackley was chosen as Ms. South Dakota. Yackley led Sully Buttes to back to back state titles during her junior and senior seasons. Yackley finished her career with 1,748 points, 443 rebounds, 739 assists and 557 steals. The 739 assists and 557 steals are school records.

Yackley led Sully Buttes to five straight state tournament appearances. Yackley was a three time first team all state selection, won the "Spirit of Su Award, won the South Dakota Gatorade player of the year and was a McDonald's All-Star game nominee.

White River standout Louie Krogman was named Mr. Basketball. Krogman wrapped up a record setting career this year as he led White River to their first state title since 1955.

Krogman finished his career as the state's all time leading scorer as he scored 3,521 points. Krogman's career totals look like this: 3,521 points, 423 rebounds, 400 assists and 405 steals.

Krogman led the Tigers to three straight state tournament appearances; was named first team all state the past three years; was named the Gatorade Player of the Year in 2008; and won the 2008 Spirit of Su Award winner.

Louis was also an All-State football player and participated in track, where he holds the school record in the high jump at 6'2".

Louie legend will attend the University of South Dakota this fall.
