(Los Angeles)- Ryan Kocer, an amputee from Wagner, who got fourth place in the 2008 Class B South Dakota state wrestling tournament, won an ESPY award in the Male Athlete with a Disability category late Wednesday night in Los Angeles.

Kocer, a three-time state high school champion, lost his leg above the knee in an accident on the family farm in August of 2007. The senior came back and wrestled in his first varsity match in January and in February qualified for the state tournament at 152 pounds.

The ESPY Awards will be televised Sunday night on ESPN.
