From the looks of this scrimmage, Yankton native Colton Iverson is fitting in well with the Gophers. And if the freshman looks bigger, he is.

Colton Iverson "I put on 15 pounds over the summer...it was good staying here...where i could get stronger."

The 6-10 Iverson is one of the freshman twin towers, along with 6-11 Ralph Sampson Junior. The two have gotten to know each other well.

Iverson "We played on a summer team...so we got to know who liked to play where...and when we'd go high and low...so we have good chemistry to this point...I guess."

The two will be ready to go in gopher head coach Tubby Smith's system of running.

Iverson "It's different...we're going to want to get out and run...and move the ball...and play tight defense all of the time."

Besides adjusting to the higher level of play, Iverson and the other freshman have also been asked to do things for the upperclassman.

Iverson "They ask us to sing...i don't know if that's going to happen...not before the game...but in the lockeroom and stuff...i don't know if that's going to happen."
