South Dakota State tops Central Arkansas 72-67

CANCUN, Mexico (AP) - Garrett Callahan scored 19 of his 21
points in the second half to help South Dakota State defeat Central
Arkansas 72-67 on Sunday.
The Jackrabbits (3-4) held off several rallies by the Bears
(3-3) to win their final game in the Cancun Challenge.
South Dakota State built a 46-37 lead with 13:57 remaining, but
Central Arkansas cut the gap to two points on five occasions, the
last time with 13 seconds left.
Led by Callahan, the Jackrabbits answered every threat. Callahan
was 3 of 3 from the field and 6 of 6 from the free-throw line in
the final 5:32. South Dakota State also hit 9 of 12 free throws in
the last 1:54.
Kai Williams added 20 points and 11 rebounds for the Jackrabbits
and Clint Sargent had 15 points.
Marcus Pillow led Central Arkansas with 15 points, followed by
Chris Brown with 14 and Mitch Rueter with 13.
