(Sioux Falls) The Indoor Football League, the league in which the Sioux Falls Storm is a member of, is investigating at least two teams for major compliance issues.

The league is looking into whether or not the two squads violated league rules. KSFY's Tim Peters spoke to Storm president Colin Steen Friday on the phone and he told KSFY the issues the league are looking into are similar to the issues the Storm were penalized for.

The league took away five wins from the Storm earlier this year because the franchise failed to provide workers comp insurance.

The two teams in question are ahead of the Storm in the league standings and if there are sanctions taken against the teams, it could help the Storm in their push for a spot in the playoffs, as the Storm are currently on the outside looking in.

One source who KSFY spoke to Friday said the two teams that are being questioned didn't pay their league dues, but have since paid them.

Steen told KSFY Friday a decision from the league could come as early as Monday. And it's unclear whether or not wins will or won't be taken away from the two teams in question.

Why doesn't this league look into how an ejected player got back on the field and slug a ref?
