(Sioux Falls) There's more front office problems for the Sioux Falls Storm.

The team owes the state money in sales tax.

The Storm have until July 7th to pay, or the franchise could lose their business license, which would shut the team down.

Storm president Collin Steen wouldn't say how much they owe, but he did say the team is disputing the amount, and they'll file that dispute with the state this week.

Steen is confident things will be resolved before the July 7th deadline.

Collin Steen/Storm President "Our lawyers are working on this issue right now...and i see no reason why we would lose our sales tax license...and we'll do what we have to so that won't happen...and protect our own interest at the same time."

Earlier this season the Storm had five wins taken away from them from the league for not having workers compensation insurance.

Those forfeits ultimately cost the 4-time defending champions a playoff spot.

Sioux Falls is scheduled to wrap up the season July 11th at home against Sioux City.
