Kaesviharn Hoping for Another NFL Shot

(Sioux Falls) Kevin Kaesviharn is working his way back from a neck injury...which ended the safety's season...in the 11th game last year...he still had two years left on his contract with New Orleans...for the injured...the NFL is a tough business.

Kevin Kaesviharn/8-NFL Seasons "Some things we're said...plans change...I know it's a business...and I understand that...and they do to...so you have to move on."

While Kaesviharn says he's feeling great now...he also knows...a neck injury...puts things about the future in perspective.

Kaesviharn "If I hit...and my neck hurts...or there's a problem...I'll tell the coaches...and I'm done...I want to be able to play with my kids...I've still got a lot of life left."

Still...playing 8-years in the NFL...didn't seem possible when he finished playing at Augie...in a year's time...he went from being a high school teacher...to playing for the Bengals...where he spent six seasons...Kaesviharn has 17 career interceptions.

Kaesviharn "Looking back...I'm proud of what I've accomplished...I think it's a blue print to follow your dreams...you never know what can happen."

When his playing days end...Kaesviharn is considering going back into teaching...and possibly coaching...and he's looking at still be involved in the NFL.

Kaesviharn "I'm thinking of maybe refereeing in the NFLl...that would keep me in the game...I have a lot of options which is great."
