Krabbenhoft To Play For Skyforce

(Sioux Falls) Sioux Falls native Joe Krabbenhoft will play for the Sioux Falls Skyforce in the NBA D-League this year. Krabbenhoft and the Skyforce came to an agreement this weekend.

The former Sioux Falls Roosevelt and Wisconsin standout was within hours of signing with one of three teams over in Europe, but when his agent called and said NBA teams wanted him to stay closer to home, he changed his mind.

Krabbenhoft said he chose to play in the D-League after hearing from officials from both Portland and Memphis. Those two teams wanted him close by in case they decided to call him up to the NBA.

Krabbenhoft has yet to officially sign with the Skyforce, but is expected to complete that part of the deal soon.
