USF’s Adam Lopez Named GPAC Special Teams Player of the Week

(SIOUX FALLS, S.D.)- University of Sioux Falls kick returner Adam Lopez (Gillette, Wyo.) is this week’s Hauff Mid-America Sports/Great Plains Athletic Conference special teams player of the week, as announced by the conference office Monday.

Lopez returned his only kickoff of the game 88 yards for a touchdown to open the second half against No. 12 Northwestern College (Iowa). Lopez’s touchdown gave the Cougars a commanding 35-7 lead. The sophomore also serves on the special teams coverage units and as a backup defensive back, recording three tackles in USF’s (9-0 overall, 8-0 GPAC) 49-14 victory.

USF will play Dordt College (1-8 overall, 0-8 GPAC) this Saturday, November 7 at 1:00 pm at the USF Sanford Complex.
