Wolves pick up contract options on Brewer, Love

MINNEAPOLIS (AP) - The Minnesota Timberwolves have exercised
contract options for next season on Corey Brewer and Kevin Love.

The moves announced Monday were expected. They guarantee Brewer a $3.7 million salary in his fourth year and Love a $3.6 million
salary in his third year.

Brewer, a small forward and defensive specialist from Florida,
was taken with the seventh overall draft pick in 2007. Love, a
power forward from UCLA who is recovering from surgery on a broken
hand, was taken with the fifth overall draft pick in 2008.

The Wolves also declined their fourth-year option for next
season on center Oleksiy Pecherov, who will be a free agent next
summer. President of basketball operations David Kahn says he
wanted to save salary cap space, but allowed the possibility of
re-signing him.
