SKYFORCE ANNOUNCES 2009-10 TRAINING CAMP INVITEES

2009 NBA Development League Draft Set For Thursday Night

Sioux Falls, S.D. (November 3, 2009) – The Sioux Falls Skyforce announced today eight players that will bypass the 2009 NBA Development League Draft and attend training camp which is set to begin on Sunday, Nov. 15. The training camp invitees include David Bailey, Keith Brumbaugh, Justin Johnson, Michael Joiner, Joe Krabbenhoft, Mike Nelson, Bruce Price and Greg Stiemsma.

The eight training camp invitees are a combination of returning players from last season, allocation players and a local tryout invitee. Bailey, Brumbaugh, Johnson, Joiner and Stiemsma are considered returning players since they appeared in at least one regular season game for the Skyforce last season. Krabbenhoft (Sioux Falls) and Price (Minneapolis) qualify as allocation players based on their regional ties and Nelson was signed by the league following his impressive showing at the Sioux Falls tryout.

The Skyforce will hold their 2009 NBA Development League Draft party at Pizza Ranch at 2717 W. 41st St. in Sioux Falls on Thursday, Nov. 5. The ninth-annual draft will air live on NBA TV and be streamed online beginning at 6 p.m. CT.
