(Brookings) Twelve different South Dakota State players scored at least two points and all 17 Jackrabbits on the roster cracked the stat sheet in a 72-58 SDSU win in its lone exhibition game of the season on Monday at Frost Arena.

Garrett Callahan led the Jackrabbits with 13 points. Clint Sargent, Dale Moss and James Rader all added eight points in the win. Griffan Callahan scored seven points and led the Jacks with seven rebounds.

Derek Kreutzfeldt led all scorers with 17 points in the loss, Jackson Parr added 16 points and 11 rebounds for the game’s only double-double.

SDSU led by as many as 16 points in the first half before taking a 14-point, 39-25 lead in the lockerroom at halftime. The Jackrabbit lead grew to a high of 23 in the second half before the Trojans cut it to the final margin of 14.

The Jackrabbits return to action on Friday, when they open the season on the road at Wyoming.

The Jacks and Cowboys tip-off from the Arena-Auditorium in Laramie, Wy, at 7:30 p.m. MT.
