There is a specially designed, high-tech bed called the Giraffe OmniBed that is used in Neonatal Intensive Care Units. The problem is they are extremely expensive. We talked to Kara DeGroot, RN who is the NICU Supervisor at Avera McKennan Hospital to find out more about the importance of these special beds for preemies and why they are campaigning to raise money for more.
