We told you a little about the new, state of the art Avera Surgery Center yesterday, but there are so features to benefit you. We continue the conversation with Dr. Kimberlee McKay from Avera McKennan Hospital. She explains one of the high-tech pieces of equipment called the "Patient Tracker".

Dr. McKay says, "The patient wears a small, individualized transmitter that sends a signal to a receiver to pinpoint where the patient is (prep, pre-op, surgery, recovery, post op etc.) and the patients status is on a screen so everyone knows where he or she is in the process."
