Avera Health has been recognized as one of the nation's MOST WIRED and MOST WIRELESS health systems according to the results of the 2010 Most Wired Survey released this month in the July issue of Hospitals & Health Networks magazine. The survey is sponsored by the American Hospital Association.
Avera Health Chief Medical Information Officer Dr. Tad Jacobs says, "This is quite an honor being awarded the most wired and most wireless systems which we are going on 13 years of receiving. The award itself is v very special because not many place in the country, not many hospital systems that can make that claim so it's very special to us. If you are a patient it means that the information there for you is available across the system. It's really about being connected as a physician, as a clinician which I am, the best way I can care for the patient is to have the best information available about the patient at the point of care. It's a win/win for providers and patients."
