Jack Carda is one of seven kids in his family.
He started going to Kimball School when he was a high school sophomore and has accomplished a lot - enough to make him today's Scholar of the Week.
"I'm really hoping I can make it, something I'm looking forward to," says Jack.
One of Jack Carda's many goals is to attend the United States Air Force Academy next fall.
That goal may stem from his love of flying.
Most recently - from Mitchell to Kimball.
"I took off and flew, it was calm so he did most of that," says Jack.
When Jack isn't high above the clouds he can be found underwater or out hunting.
"We've been antelope hunting, SCUBA, we do quite a bit," says Jack.
And amidst all those activities, Jack still finds time to manage an outstanding G.P.A. while taking classes like pre-calculus, physics and English.
"He's a good student, very deserving of the Scholar," says one of Jack's teachers Sheri Hardman.
Beyond his dream of attending the Air Force Academy, Jack isn't too stressed about his future.
"I'm just gonna see what comes up," says Jack.
Central Electric Cooperative Association has rewarded Jack with a hundred dollar scholarship. That's a local Touchstone Energy Cooperative.
