Mitchell McIntire has a tough college-level class schedule, a part-time job and activities outside of school.
Today's Scholar of the Week also has a unique hobby.
"My biggest summer thing is trap shooting which I spend a lot of time doing," says Mitchell.
It's a first in Scholar of the Week hobbies.
"I'm in leagues and shoot official A.T.A. targets."
His teachers say this avid - and talented - trap shooter is also a talented mathematician.
"A kid I relied on - can you explain things differently? Can you help kids?" says his teacher Steve Caron.
Mitchell has lofty goals.
While some aspire to be doctors or lawyers - he has different interests.
Like being an astrophysicist.
"Lately I've been leaning to applied mathematics, maybe a N.A.S.A.-type job," says Mitchell.
He's exhausted his high school math opportunities and his entire class schedule is filled with advanced placement classes.
And of course - he's also involved outside the classroom.
"I'm in science bowl and environmental club this year."
His teacher Steve Caron says, "Engineer, architect, he can be anything he wants."
Mitchell will receive a hundred dollar scholarship from Northern Electric Cooperative - a local Touchstone Energy Cooperative.
