Organization skills help high school senior

Posted: Updated:

Today's Scholar of the Week is one of two students currently building a radio station.

When he's not busy making the grade, Trevor Huber also enjoys playing golf, basketball - and he's also an actor.

"He's a hard worker and sees it to completion," says science teacher Jeremiah Dibley.

Trevor Huber's teachers say his attention to detail helps make him a quiet leader.

"He's fun to have in class, you never worry about doing something he shouldn't, he's a good guy to have in it," says Dibley.

Even Trevor recognizes he appreciates having everything in its place.

"I'm very organized. I like to get things done right away," says Huber.

And maybe it's that organization that's helped him graduate at the top of his class of 18 at Gayville-Volin High School.

Trevor's planning on studying mass communications - but hasn't quite nailed down what exactly he wants to do for a future career.

"Working in the entertainment field, there's things I can do - I don't really know yet," says Huber.

But before he moves on to his future, Trevor is enjoying his time with family and friends at home.

"Go camping in the summer with friends and family," says Huber.

Clay-Union Electric Corporation is sending Trevor a hundred dollar scholarship for being our Scholar of the Week.

That's a local Touchstone Energy Cooperative.
