Roller Dollz hold bacon cook-off

The Sioux Falls Roller Dollz are getting off the court and into the kitchen Saturday.

The 2nd annual Baconfest was held at the VFW in Sioux Falls Saturday.

Roller Dollz, fans and referees entered the competition cooking up their favorite bacon recipes.

The dishes ranged from bacon cupcakes to bacon ice cream to bacon chowder.

Organizers say it was a great turnout and a lot of fun.

"When we did this last year we weren't sure how it would turn out and today was just a great turnout and we had bacon. Who doesn't love bacon?" Joy Falencik said.

Some familiar faces were there. Action News Anchor Nancy Naeve Brown and Rachel Gabrielsen were judging the competition.

All the money raised goes to the Roller Dollz travel fund to help them get to matches around the area.

If you're wondering, the bacon ice cream won.
