Benefit for kids with cancer scheduled for August 27th

Posted: Updated:

Every kid wants to go to summer camp.  The Sioux Falls Morning Optimist Club is giving a few lucky kids that chance.

They will have Mo's Courageous Kids Carnival to benefit kids with cancer who want to go to summer camp.

The carnival will raise money to send kids like nine year old Caitlyn Baumgart to "CAMP BRING IT ON" near Madison, South Dakota.

"Camp is the place where kids like me can just be kids, we don't have to worry about hospitals, clinic visits, or needle pokes. We can just have fun.  I cant wait to spend my third summer at camp bring it on," said Caitlyn Baumgart.

Mo's Courageous Kid's Carnival will be held August 27th from 11am until 4pm in the west lot of the Empire Mall.

If you are not able to attend and still wish to donate you can call one of the Morning Optimist Club Co-Chairs: Carolyn Downs at (605)-0987 or Jack Dyvig at (605) 351-1889.
