Aberdeen Progress Report: August 2011

Coming up on the Aberdeen Progress Report, Saturday, August 6, 2011 at 10:30 PM - KSFY-TV

Join Steve Kaiser & Kim Lien for a full half hour of news for and about the Aberdeen area.

In our In-Depth segment:  The over abundance of water both rain and from river flows in Northeast Brown County has cut land usage for farming and forced numerous families to simply quit farming and move away.  On the Review of the News: Water is also giving the city of Aberdeen problems.  The city has too much water entering its sanitary sewer system for the treatment plant to keep up and contamination of the drinking water by coliform bacteria may indicate problems ahead.  We talk to Mike Wilson, Airport Manager and Gail Ochs, Chamber President about Delta Airlines and their service in Aberdeen.  Kim invites you to meet Tom Black, one of the organizers of the upcoming South Dakota Film Festival on our People You Should Know segment.  On our Chamber Section Amy Blackstone, Marketing Director and Nikki Walter Membership Chair visit about a new program called Member to Member Perks Program.
