Scholar of the Week: Elkton senior wants to run her own business

Posted: Updated:

Today's Scholar of the Week only gets a half-hour studyhall - but she makes the most of it because she has to.

Somehow Megan Krogman manages to get it all done.

"I enjoy shooting hoops, spending time with my family definitely," says Megan Krogman.

Her teachers tell us she balances her free time with school work and afterschool activities.

"She always goes above and beyond. She's also willing to help, she's very good academically," says teacher Mary Remund.

Megan has a few areas she says she's thinking about pursuing after high school - including business management, teaching or the health field.

But there seems to be one she's leaning toward a little more.

"Running my own business and having a family," says Megan.

But before all that - she'll go to college.

"I'm hoping basketball or volleyball and I'm thinking far away but close enough so I can come home."

For being our Scholar of the Week, Sioux Valley Energy is sending Megan a hundred dollar scholarship.

That's a local Touchstone Energy Cooperative.
