Mitchell Police report items stolen from 8 cars this week

Mitchell Police say sometime between Saturday, December 3, 2011 around noon to Thursday December 8, 2011 at 7:39 a. m., items were taken from eight different vehicles.

Approximately $1,600 worth of items were stolen from vehicles that were parked in different locations on E. 2nd Avenue, E. 3rd Ave. and on E. 4th Avenue in Mitchell.

The stolen items include: Garmin Nuvi 205 GPS unit, a black Sony brand car stereo, 12" speakers in a gray carpeted box, a black stereo amplifier, Leatherman multi tool, Met Wrench brand multi tool/socket set in black plastic case, GM mechanics pliers-new in plastic packaging, hammer, Reese brand 2" ball tow package-new in plastic packaging, 4 wire trailer plug in kit assembly, black 1200 watt Rockford Fosgate car stereo amplifier, 2- black and gray leather speaker boxes containing 12" Rockford Fosegate brand subwoofer speakers, USB drive, 2 pill bottles, car stereo compact disc player, JVC brand car stereo compact disc faceplate and a Kenwood car stereo compact disc player.

Mitchell Police also report, sometime from Tuesday November 15, 2011 to Friday November 25, 2011, four (4) Samsung brand 32" television sets were stolen from motel rooms at the Ramada Inn in Mitchell. The television sets are valued at $1,800.

If you have information in relation to these incidents, or if you have information regarding suspicious activity in these areas at this time, or information relating to any other crime, please call Crime Stoppers at 996-1700. Remember that you do not have to identify yourself, and a CASH REWARD is available if it leads to the arrest of the subject or subjects involved. There are no caller ID's attached to this phone line, so you will remain anonymous.
