In less than 24 hours, all eyes will be on Iowa.
Cody Hoefert is Lyon County's Republican Party Chairman and says with this debt crisis, this part of the process is crucial.
"This could be one of the most important and consequential elections in my lifetime and I'm excited to be a part of it," Cody Hoefert said.
While we were in Rock Rapids, we stopped by the Hair Pin salon and found stylists snipping up a storm. These caucuses have everyone talking - even in the hair salon.
"It's great for any small town to get exposure to it's a great way for the community of Rock Rapids to be experiencing," Kristin Jurrens said.
"It's a good thing to get our community recognized and get the people informed about what the candidates have to offer," Kay Wynia said.
In the days leading up to Tuesday's Caucuses, they say there are a few things they could live without - like all those phone calls, for example.
"When they call 7 times a day, it's getting a little ridiculous," Kay Wynia said.
But regardless, this is an event that is sure to get people in town on their feet and ready for what will be an exciting beginning to the 2012 presidential process.
"We're excited to get the process, take back the White House, and defeat President Obama. We're excited that begins here in Rock Rapids with small gatherings of neighbors and friends and make case for the candidate you think should be the next president," Cody Hoefert said.
