(Mitchell) When Dakota Wesleyan sophmore Amanda Hart gets an open look from beyond the three point arc, she likes like to let it fly.
Amanda Hart/DWU So. G/F "It's fun, I like to shoot the three. It's better than doing some other things. If it doesn't go, I get someone elso the ball."
Hart leads the nation in the NAIA in three-pointers made with this season with 71. She would have likely lead nation in threes as well last year as a freshman, but Dakota Wesleyan didn't make the playoffs.
Hart "I don't think about that too much, I just want to win games. Last year I was up there, but our season ended early so I dropped back some."
The former Hanson High School basketball standout came into to college as a shooter, but she's become a much more complete player.
Jason Christensen/DWU Head Coach "Amanda has worked hard at her game to become a better defensive player. She is always working on other aspects of her game in practice, we know she's a shooter, but she's become a good all-around player."
And Hart is a key piece on a team that has a lot of players who can score, and hopefully get the Tigers back in the postseason.
Hart "We've got a lot of players who can score, we have a really balanced attack."
