About 2,000 people are expected at Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Sioux Falls for funeral services which start at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday.
We talked with a church organizer who talks about what to expect Wednesday.
Flowers are being brought in by the dozens into Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Sioux Falls.
"You can tell a lot of flowers here. A lot of people who care about him," Kathy Nelson said.
Kathy Nelson helped organize Tuesday night's visitation and prayer services for former South Dakota Governor Bill Janklow.
His flag-draped casket arrived right at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday.
More than 800 people came to the church to pay their respects.
Nelson says the number of people will almost triple Wednesday as 2,000 are expected to attend the funeral service.
"We knew there would be a couple thousand so we immediately talked about the space and how we'd have to take tables down and rent things in order to accommodate for those people," Nelson said.
And Wednesday they'll be ready hours before they open the doors for the service.
"We have three overflow places from our main sanctuary which the funeral will be broadcast from and held. The celebrate center and the gathering place and downstairs we have the third overflow which will receive audio and video," Nelson said.
So you'll be able to see and hear even if you're not in the sanctuary.
So while they've worked to accommodate every thing they can think of, Nelson says their main priority is the family.
"It's a funeral. It happens to be a very public funeral but we're always keeping the family in the forefront, that it is a funeral and our main goal is to be responsible to the family," Nelson said.
The prayer service in Sioux Falls Tuesday finished up around 8 p.m.
