SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (AP) - A South Dakota woman accused of intentionally hitting a male with her vehicle has pleaded guilty to a federal charge of assault with a dangerous weapon.
Thirty-five-year-old Myrna LeClaire of Eagle Butte faces up to 10 years in prison when she's sentenced April 16.
U.S. Attorney Brendan Johnson says LeClaire steered her vehicle into the victim last Aug. 6 in Eagle Butte because she thought a relative of his had assaulted her teenage daughter.
The victim was taken to a hospital to be treated for pain in his left hip and leg and lower back.
