College Sports Madness named South Dakota State point guard Nate Wolters its National Mid-Major Men's Basketball Player of the Week on Monday after the junior led the Jackrabbits to a 91-88 overtime win at North Dakota State on Saturday.
A St. Cloud, Minn., native, Wolters led the Jackrabbits with 27 points in the win, with seven rebounds and seven assists.
He scored 23 of his points after halftime, with the final five coming in overtime, including a pair of late free throws that sealed the win, which snapped a 10 game skid against the Bison.
Wolters and the Jackrabbits return to action on Thursday, when they travel to Rochester, Mich., to take on the two-time defending Summit League champion Oakland Golden Grizzlies at 7 p.m. ET.
