The Compass Center, formerly known as The Rape and Domestic Abuse Center, has been in existence since 1976 in the Sioux Falls Community. They are a private non-profit agency that provides free counseling and advocacy to victims of sexual assault and domestic violence. Next Thursday the Compass Center will be hosting their "It's in the Bag" fundraiser. There will be a purse auction to raise funds to better help the center serve the survivors of sexual assault and domestic violence. Patty Brooks from the Compass Center stopped in to talk to Nancy about the event. The event is at 1000 East 21st street #1100. It begins at 5:30 p.m. and will go until 7:30 p.m. Drinks and snacks will be served. Tickets are $20 and you can call 339-0116 to reserve tickets.
