1 dead, 1 hurt in crash in South Dakota's Campbell County

HERREID, S.D. (AP) - A Herreid man has died in a collision of vehicles at the intersection of 2 Campbell County roads.

The Highway Patrol says 53-year-old Randall Rueb was driving a pickup truck that failed to stop at the intersection and crashed into another pickup. Both caught fire after the crash six miles east of Herreid about 11:15 a.m. Thursday.

The patrol says Rueb died at the scene. The other driver was taken to a Mobridge hospital with injuries described as serious but not life-threatening.
