The Sioux Falls Convention and Visitors Bureau say they've recently launched a promotion whereby visitors to Sioux Falls could receive a $25 US Bank Rewards Visa Card for an overnight stay in a Sioux Falls hotel.
The purpose of the promotion was to increase hotel room business in Sioux Falls from December 1, 2011 through March 31, 2012.
The CVB says response to the promotion has been overwhelming.
The promotion was limited to the first 500 people who met the eligibility guidelines. Due to the overwhelming response, the CVB increased the promotion to 1000 cards.
Those additional cards were gone by last Monday, January 30th.
The CVB says no further advertising of the promotion will run.
