The NBA Development League announced today that Charles Garcia of the Sioux Falls Skyforce has been suspended without pay for five games for violating the terms of the NBA D-League's anti-drug policy.
Garcia's suspension will begin when the Skyforce host the Idaho Stampede on Friday, Feb. 10.
"We have sent Charles home and will be looking for a suitable trade partner," team president Mike Heineman said.'
In other team news, the Skyforce announced today that the team has acquired forward Marqus Blakely from the Iowa Energy in exchange for forward Patrick Ewing, Jr.
He is expected to be in uniform tomorrow night as the Skyforce hosts the Idaho Stampede.
