YANKTON, S.D. (AP) - Yankton's Mount Marty College is celebrating the inauguration of its ninth president on Friday.
Dr. Joseph N. Benoit will be inaugurated during a 2 p.m. ceremony.
Friday's events also include a 10:30 a.m. mass and a reception following the 2 p.m. ceremony.
Benoit came to Mount Marty College in 2011 from the University of North Dakota, where he had served as dean of the graduate school and professor for the department of pharmacology, physiology and therapeutics since 2001.
Prior to his work in North Dakota, Benoit served as director of graduate studies and a professor at the University of South Alabama College of Medicine in Mobile, Ala.
