SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (AP) - Police in Sioux Falls are reminding residents to close their garage doors after a string of burglaries last month.
Several burglaries took place last month, resulting in thousands of dollars of stolen goods.
Police have been patrolling neighborhoods alerting residents about any open garages and suggesting they shut it.
Sioux Falls Police Chief Doug Barthel says the majority of people have no idea their door was open and are thankful police inform them about it.
