KSFY News - Sioux Falls, SD News, Weather, SportsRapid City Central wins Class AA State Gymnastics Title

In a highlly competitive Class AA State Gymnastics final, Rapid City Central snapped Watertown's three-year run as champions Friday evening at the Swiftel Center in Brookings.

The Cobblers finished with a total score of 150.510 and took first in the Bars, Floor and Vault events. Despite a strong score of 147.262, the arrows finished second in the competition. S.F. O'Gorman, Brookings and Mitchell rounded out the top five teams.

Colette Christensen, Chelsey Christensen, and Brandee Roach each took home top honors in separate events for RC Central.
